About us

About Us

Founded in the Hampshire village of Sherborne St John, Chris Thorpe leads our talented team in creating luxurious, bespoke kitchens and interiors.

Drawing on our depth of knowledge, skill and creativity, we work collaboratively with private clients, architects and interior designers to inspire, guide and bring their ideas to life.

From conception to our final, meticulous installation, there’s integrity to everything we create which reflects our passion for what we do.

The three swords in our logo are a nod to our historic built heritage and the inspiration it brings to our work – in particular, our local National Trust Estate, The Vyne, whose crest bore these swords.

Our People

Everything we create is the culmination of the passion, craftsmanship and commitment shared by our team of designers, cabinetmakers, joiners, finishers and fitters, under the guidance of Chris. It’s a creative spirit you might sense the moment you step inside our workshop.

Our Workshop

We take as much pride in our new, state-of-the-art workshop as we do our work. Close to where we first opened, our workshop is possibly the most innovative facility of its type in the country.

Planned meticulously, its spacious interior is designed to give our craftsmen and women room to work accurately and efficiently, alongside the latest woodworking technology.

Digital dimension saws, spindle moulders, a wide belt sander, specialist veneer guillotine and press, and spray facilities are all to hand to ensure every piece is crafted to the highest standards.

We’ve also reduced our waste and energy use. Offcuts and wood waste are fed into a biomass boiler for heating, and air filtration systems keep our workshop clinically clean.

Projects can be reviewed in our meeting rooms and in our showroom as they take shape, while our gallery of materials, finishes and veneers provides a source of reference and inspiration.

Best experienced in person, if you’d like to take a tour we’d be only too happy to show you around.

Sustainability

We are conscious of our responsibility to the environment and to value its natural resources, We continually review and enhance sustainable practices throughout our production process, reducing waste and energy consumption.

As a priority, we source materials from local suppliers and well-managed woodlands and estates we know and trust – those who appreciate the quality we seek. And when we need to look further afield, we select timber from certified FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) suppliers.
