(Wood) Working in a Multi-Material World

Woodwork is no longer about working exclusively with wood.

Our team not only champions wood, but they’re also as passionate and accomplished with every material they work with, be it metal, glass, stone, textiles and veneers. With a depth of expertise and appreciation across a rich portfolio of materials, we can offer endless creativity.

Solid Wood

We work with many precious hardwoods, sourcing them from our select network of responsibly-managed estates. Our clients are always welcome to join us when selecting stock, to hand-select the most beautiful and appropriate boards for every commission.

Veneers

We are fortunate to have long-standing relationships with suppliers of the most stunning veneers in the country from burrs, striking fumed woods and a broad palette of pre-dyed and decorative veneers.

Metalwork

Whether we’re revealing the unique patina of a countertop, creating intricate detailing, or producing elements with more structural heft, our highly-skilled metalworkers and finishers work with all forms of steel, brass, aluminum and decorative alloys.

Leather & Fabrics

Our leatherworkers and upholsterers are masters of every application of fabric and leather, whether they’re transforming seating, lining drawers and desks with suede, or applying fabric panels and leather detailing.

Stone

The success of the kitchens and bathrooms we design can be attributed to the quality of the marble, granite and other composites we use. Moreover, we encourage our clients to join us in hand-selecting specific slabs from our suppliers.

Specialist Finishes

Any amount of drama can be achieved from our array of specialist finishes. With a tremendous reference library of special finishes housed in our workshop, we enjoy showing clients the many various options. Spray lacquers and metal effects, hand-painted, oiled, stained and high gloss finishes, as well as traditional cracked Gesso, gilding and polished plaster feature in our array of seemingly endless possibilities.

Glass and Mirror

These materials are often used inventively to provide ingenious solutions that enhance the sense of space and light. Whether using antique, stained, textured, eglomise or gilded mirrors, their use can inspire statement pieces for entrance halls and atriums, or ingenious functionality in our bathrooms, dressing rooms, display cabinets and panelling.

M&E Integration

We work with specialist consultants and designers to coordinate and integrate key service elements within our designs and installations. Careful consideration is given to many aspects, including heating and cooling systems, cabinet lighting, AV installations, security systems, and home safes.

Regardless of the chosen material, we encourage our clients to join us in the process of selection, which can be very rewarding. It’s a level of involvement that heightens the whole commissioning experience and aligns with the importance we place on working collaboratively.
