Whilst we work predominantly with wood, most of our projects feature at least one other material. We work closely with many talented craftsmen and women across a number of disciplines, which enables us to offer wide-ranging creativity and flexibility in the work we produce. Metalwork, leather, fabric and upholstery, glass, mirrors and decorative finishes are just some of the different materials and finishes that feature in our work.
At the heart of what we do, we have a deep appreciation and passion for working with the finest hardwoods and veneers. We take great pride in hand-selecting the very best available wood and veneers for each project. If they wish, clients are welcome to join us at the timber yards where woods and veneers can be viewed and chosen.
Used decoratively and structurally, we work with metal in many different ways. Stainless steel, brass, polished nickel and chrome can all be used for frames and inlay details, or to create bar and kitchen worktops. We also utilise metals in the production of our cabinets and carcasses, in addition to the wide use of bespoke fittings, handles and hanging rails.
Featuring in many of our projects including kitchens and bathrooms, we use a variety of natural and composite stone, including marble, granite, ceramics, quartz and specialist solid surface materials, such as Corian and HI-MACS. We follow the same selection process for stone as we do with wood, encouraging clients to join us and select their preferred materials from our trusted network of supply partners.
Applied extensively to bathrooms, dressing rooms, display cabinets and panelling; glass and mirrors can bring stunning effects to our designs, whether we’re working with contemporary silver mirrors, decorative antique mirrors and eglomise, or across the broad range of coloured, textured and gilded glass.
Beyond their more obvious use in furniture upholstery and soft furnishings, fabrics are often used to line cabinets, drawers and paneling. We work with many different textiles, including luxurious, custom-made fabrics.
The fine craftsmanship of our leather workers enhances many of our bespoke commissions. Working with some of the finest suppliers in the country, we use leather and suede in a number of different manners, including drawer linings, cabinet interiors, paneling and handles.
As technology continues to advance, we work in tandem with specialist consultants and designers to coordinate and integrate key service elements within our designs and installations. Careful consideration is given to many aspects, including heating and cooling systems, cabinet lighting, AV installations, security systems, and home safes.
There is a wide array of specialist finishes that we use within our work, which include cracked gesso, polished plaster, high gloss lacquers, liquid metal finishes and decorative paint effects.
